I recently bought a video card from them and a USB wireless NIC. The NIC had no distance and it wouldn't connect using 802.n and the video card would lock up my system after about 4 hours, it was overheating from what I could tell. I was told if they didn't work I could return them.

So I returned them, knowing they do not give money back, but credit. They wanted to keep them without giving me a reason. I went on a trip, come back to get it settled and they have to find them? So about 30 minutes latter they aren't telling me anything and they are doing the "look at invoice" and "look at item" thing, by almost every service person there.

So, they finally offer me $50 trade for the $90 card (OH which they say they "fixed") LOL. Fixed the video card. That made me laugh.

After 2.5 hours of going back and forth I got them to give me an $88 USB hard drive and had to keep the lame wireless USB NIC.

Lesson, DON'T buy here.

On the other hand I have had great customer service at AnAna Computers and will shop there, or go to KL to get my electronics. It is a shame that AnAna doesn't have more higher end monitors etc ..., they seem to be more for businesses, but their customer service has been outstanding so far.

I had the opposite experience with the two companies you mentioned. When I took my sony vaio into AnAna to be repaired they asked me to sign a waiver, stating that if they damaged anything inside my computer while fixing it, they were not responsible Personally, I found that unacceptable.

No such problems with PTC, they fixed it within one day and I have had no such problems since.

Same here: I've always been happy with PTC services... Don't know much about AnAna though.

All your critics above, I agree. I had experience with both companies:
PTC: One day, my friend's desktop computer had problem with Motherboard, we brought the System Unit over there, when we arrived, there was a Technician, took our PC to the repair room, they stared testing by took of the CPU from our PC to test with PTC Motherboard, suddenly, the CPU getting burn.
I complained to return another CPU with the same speed and working well as mine. Then technician went to see the boss, the boss said, company did not response on that. Finally, the Technician decided to buy an other CPU to pay back for me, but I also have to pay 20$(=20%) of CPU price, I and my friend went back home with No Solution, Wasting Time, Wasting Money.
Attention: The price of product over there also expensive then other companies.

ANANA: not my experience, but close friend's experience, he bought a HP Laptop from Oversea for International warranty, after came back to Cambodia for a while, his Laptop got problem with no display on the screen, he brought to there. For a few weeks latter, Anana called to my friend to get back the Laptop, because they can not fix. So he bring to Thakral, they found the problem of Motherboard, and some parts were not HP parts with that Model (RAM). Then my friend took it back to ANANA to complain, they said, he already signed to take out (he took out with no checking, because there was no display, how he could check, he is not technician) so Company didn't response. So be careful to bring your stuffs to repair over there.

This might solve some of your problems

European Computer Maintenance

Bored of waiting an eternity for your machine to start?
Tired of dodgy software and complete reformats at your local service centre?
Shocked at the charges of “official” service centres?

When I went to Ananan they were ok but higher priced than PTC. Their customer service was not so great.
I bought a video card from PTC and two weeks after the warrantee was up, it blew out. I called them up and they sent a tech to my house. He replaced it for free, no service charge or anything. Haven't had any problems since. Got a wireless card there as well and no problems. Been back several times and the only "problem” I had was when I called and asked if they sold 2GB DDR RAM and the guy said "yes" and when I got there they told me "no". But that’s just because of the Khmer habit of saying "yes" even when they don't understand or don't know.
