Fishing around PP or Siem Reap

Does anyone know any scenic places where good rod fishing is possible? Somewhere near either Phnom Penh or Siem Reap would be perfect, and preferably nowhere near dynamite fishing!

about 15km?? out of PP on highway 2 before Phnom Ta Mao there are some fishing pools. you can rent old rods and buy bait. maybe even take what you catch over a certain size. there is a write up in the latest pocket guide out and about.

If you go out to the fishing ponds, go to a sports store and buy some small gauge treble hooks. it will increase your % ten fold.
Failing that....hire a kid with a canoe,drift to structure all along the Tonle Sap banks and flick 1" shads and wait for the mangrove jack style species to take hold and tow you around
