Hi folks, this may be a long shot, but I'm an English guy currently in Cambodia, and I have for sale a 1990 Chevrolet Corvette, which is currently located in Siem Reap, but will be in Phnom Penh later in the week. It's got the 5.7l small-block Chevvy V8 with performance ironheads, cam, manifolds and a ZR1 exhaust, and so is putting out over 300hp, and is frankly awesome. It also has the removable 'targa' glass roof, cruise control, aircon, trip computer, electric seats, new tyres, etc. It's covered 95,000 miles, the last 15,000 of so by me, as I've just driven it to Cambodia from England on a pretty epic road trip in which it's proved amazingly reliable - hence the reason for sale.

I've uploaded some pictures below; If you or anyone you know would be interested in this old-school American sports car, please let me know!

Ben.

PS- for further details on the Corvette's trip from Europe to Cambodia, the blog is at www.80breakdowns.com, but you'll have to scroll down a bit to get to it...

Price?

From chatting to various people in Cambodia, the general consensus seems to be that I should be aiming for somewhere between $15k and $20k, which in a country where a Nissan 350z is over $20k dollars, seems reasonable - so there you go, I'm looking for $15k plus...

The asking price is way to high, to make it legal in Cambodia will probably cost $5k-$10k. Very high import tax on cars with big engines.

Fair enough, though even if it sold for around $15k then cost another $10k to 100% legally import the car, that's still $25k, and from flicking through the classifieds, plenty of cars worth the same as a tuned up Corvette C4 back in England or the US sell for around that amount in Cambodia - hence the Nissan 350z comparison (which was the closest comparable car I could find for sale when I searched the other day).

Still, I'm the outsider so you could well be right; time will tell...
