9PM: LIVE CONCERT - Saphy Vong aka LAFIDKI is a French-Cambodian solo musician, who runs his own music label “Steak au Zoo”. The often-masked Phnom Penh-based sound wizard has a unique sense for abstract electronics, bringing with him an energy and joy rare in such deeply experimental psychedelia. Lafidki’s blend of noise and sequenced multi-layered rhythms is a captivating solo listen, but this music’s also begging for a spot at your next dinner-party-turned-dance-off. Lafidki was on stage with indie legends Hype Williams, Lydia Lunch and Shonen Knife. He has performed in Seoul (Yogiga), Helsinki (Myymälä 2), Bangkok (Nospace Gallery), St Petersburg (Erarta Contemporary Art Museum), Pittsburgh (VIA Festival), Minsk (New Ton Fashion Art), Arkaoda (Istanbul), Hong Kong (Strategic Sounds), Reykjavik (Tjarnarbio) and many other cities. 9.30PM: DJ PARTY – In 2015, the first record store in Cambodia since the Khmer Rouge has opened in Kampot City. The monthly VINYL MANIA DJ NIGHT at Meta is dedicated to those who missed out on the pops and hisses of album listening, not to mention the awesome cover art that's a lot more impressive than the digitized postage stamps you see when you play a song on your iPod. Tonight, DJs Dr. Wah Wah (UK) and Nicomatic (Germany) will spin rare grooves, funky disco and lots of white labels.
