This electric moto is the most inexpensive way to get around town except for those who walk or ride a bicycle. New battery purchased on Sept 1, 2013. Depending on how much it is used, battery usually lasts 1 to 2 years. During that time, you will spend nothing on fuel. Only on electricity to charge it, which, according to my friend who measured it, is about 1/2 kilowatt hour per charge.
Makes almost no sound and no heat when driving, very smooth. Can carry two people. Not likely to be stolen.
The battery is removable and takes 5-6 hours to fully recharge from empty. New batteries are available in Phnom Penh. The brand of the moto is Wanbaolu. Can go 25-30 kilometers in one charge.
