When you’re in a confrontation, you may have finally exhausted all methods of prevention. You only have a few seconds and a few moves to try before the ‘fight’ may be decided. Before an attacker has gained full control of you, you must do everything you can—conserving as much energy as possible—to inflict injury so you can get away.

This half day workshop will show you how to strike and what part of the body you should focus on to give you the best opportunity of escape.

Facilitator

Bruce Robertson is a former police officer, who has spent forty years in Asia including twenty-five years in Japan, where he studied and taught martial arts. He runs a full-time martial arts school in Australia and teaches martial arts throughout Asia and Japan. He works in the mental health sector with a specialization in drug induced psychosis and has a strong sense of social justice. He is an experienced facilitator, delivering workshops for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and outreach workers.
