The export manager for Bersano Italian Wines, Ms. Erika Abate, will host a winemaker's dinner at the Caravelle Hotel's Reflections Restaurant on 19 June, 2008.
Anchored by a Wagyu beef tenderloin, the special set dinner journeys through five courses, each course complemented by a premium Bersano vintage.
Bersano's Gavi DOCG 2005 opens the door to a duck liver roulade in pistachio crust and apricot jam, Jerusalem artichokes and crispy veal sweetbread. (DOC and DOCG are abbreviations for two of the four major categories of Italian wines.)
From there, it's on to a Coldelfosso - Dolcetto D'Alba DOC, 2003 as a complement to pan seared deep sea scallops. The slow braised veal cheeks are set off against a Nirvasco Barolo DOCG. The Badarina, Barolo D.O.C.G goes with the Wagyu beef entrée. And to finish, it's a Moscato d'Asti DOCG teaming up with chocolate trio terrine, vanilla custard and yoghurt berry ice cream and pistachio crisp.
Bersano Italian Wines are distributed in Vietnam by Metro Cash & Carry Company.
