SEA Games Soccer: Cambodia gets new date.

The Matches for the SEA games football events have been brought back according to a release from the Asean Football Federation. Cambodia was originally scheduled for Nov 9th will now take on host Indonesia on 7th November with kick off at 7pm local time at the 88,000 capacity Bung Karno Stadium Jakarta.

Cambodia to battle Taipei for semi final slot

Cambodia will take on Chinese Taipei in a crunchy tie in the final group game on Saturday in the ongoing 4th China-Asean Invitational basketball Tournament taking place in Nanning city of Guangxi Province, China.

Cambodia defeated Macao 72-65, lost to China Guanxi 62-72 before seeing off Vietnam Hanoi 90-72 in earlier games. Chinese Taipei also on their part defeated Vietnam Hanoi 74-48 and lost to Macao 58-71.

Cambodia beat Vietnam to edge one step closer to the semi finals

Cambodia is now one step away from a place in the semi finals of the China-Asean Invitational Basketball tournament following a spectacular win over Vietnam Hanoi in the group B tie played on Thursday in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, China.

The win came at the back of the lose to China Guangxi in the Wednesday Game and with the team having to play in the absence of their head coach Austin Koledoye's return to Cambodia due to pressing need in his job at NISC.

Injury blow for Cambodia

The Cambodia Basketball Team's quest for glory in China has suffered a set back following the injury to two key players. Monh Putratana broke a finger while Lav Chhaydany has suffered a groin strain following their victory over Macao on Tuesday. A third player who suffered injury to the thigh was able to shrug it off to play the second game yesterday (Wednesday) in the defeat of China Guangxi.

China Guangxi hoop down Cambodia

Cambodia National Basketball Team suffered their first defeat losing by 10 points to China Guangxi in the second game of their group B fixtures on Wednesday night.

China Guangxi haven been rested in the opening day fixtures came out smoking and took the game to the Visitor from the blast winning the first half 34-28.

Cambodia’s flying start to the China Asean Invitational Basketball Tournament may yet receive a blow as head coach Austin Koledoye is about to leave the team for another mission to Vietnam. Cambodia defeated Macao in the opening Group B match on Tuesday 77-65 and are due to take on China Guangxi later tonight which may be the last match Coach Austin my handle before returning to Cambodia to lead his School team to a volleyball championship in Vietnam.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Telcom giant Mr. Thomas Hundt announced a Gold sponsorship of the National Olympic Committee SEA Games Farewell Gala Dinner to the tune of 3000 USD. Brunei Returns to SEA Games after 10 years

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (23 Oct 2011) – Brunei are looking forward to their first game against Timor Leste on 5 November – marking their return to the biennial championship after ten years says Zamri Hamdani, Vice president of the NOC of Brunei.

The last time the Sultanate side took part at the SEA Games was back in 2001 in Kuala Lumpur.

"We are happy to return to the SEA games football events again, its a sign that Football if developing in Brunei and we hope to make a mark in the event" Zamri told Expat-Advisory during the just concluded 2011 OS-OCA Regional Forum in Phuket, Thailand.

Philippines leaving No room for Complacency

MANILA (23 Oct 2011) – Despite being drawn into what was termed as a ‘favourable’ draw’, Philippines national Under-23 team manager Dan Palami said that there is no room for complacency and that the squad must work harder to make their presence felt.

The draw for the much-anticipated men’s football event at the 26th edition of the SEA Games this year was made this week with Philippines being placed in the easier Group B against last edition’s runners-up Vietnam, Laos, Timor Leste, Myanmar and Brunei.
