Musical Gambler

See "Musical Gambler" at LG Arts Center on July 10-August 3. "Musical Gambler" premiered in 1999, starring Huh Junho and Nam Gyeongju. Eric Woolfson, the composer and leader of world-famous ex-pop group Alan Parsons Project, composed its music, lyrics and script. The musical is based on the "Queen of Spades," Alexander Pushikin's short novel.

A story of love and betrayal, success and frustration, and desires and ruins, "Musical Gambler" involves the relationship between a gambler, a showgirl and a casino boss. Because of its popularity and artistry, the musical was exported to Japan in 2002 and 2005. As a great success in Japan, "Musical Gambler" also caught a wave to Korea.

The 2008 rendition of the musical features such Korean representative musical actors and actresses as Huh Junho, Lee Geonmyeong, Bae Haeseon and Jeon Sugyeong. Tickets are VIP 120,000 R 90,000 S 80,000 A 50,000 B 40,000 won. For more information, call (02) 577-1987.
