Seoul has recently opened a new English-language online reservation system that enables foreign residents in Seoul to reserve sports facilities and more starting from this month.
Go to the English Reservation Webpage, fill in the category for facility name, location and date. A page carrying details on that particular venue will open to provide information on when it is available, whether it is free of charge or not, and so forth.
Scroll down to the calendar, and specify the desired date again. The next page will require insertion of one's name and foreigner registration number. The confirm button next to it will finalize the process. The results should be printed out and taken to the venue, to be shown upon entry.
The new system allows online reservation to a total of 249 parks including soccer and hockey fields, basketball and tennis courts and more. Other bigger facilities open for reservation includes the World Cup Stadium, Seoul Grand Park and Hangang Headquarters. One can also lease auditoriums, theaters, lecture or screening rooms through the same website.
The website can also be accessed through the English language webpage of Seoul city (English.seoul.go.kr) and Seoul Global Center (global.seoul.go.kr).
