Friends-International is a social enterprise that works with marginalized urban children and youth, their families and communities, to help them become independent and productive citizens of their country.
Friends-International (FI) initiated TREE (Training Restaurant for Employment and Entrepreneurship) alliance that represents a global alliance of training restaurants working to build futures for former street youth, marginalized young people and adults.
We are seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to fill the position of Vocational Training Restaurant Volunteer to join this exciting team (www.tree-alliance.org [1]).
Position overview
This position will create Information-Education-Communication (IEC) materials on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to service.
The TRAINING RESTAURANT VOLUNTEER will:
• Create a visual design for each SOP using different visual techniques (photography, drawing etc.)
• Create basic text for or each visual (based on existing written procedures)
• Provide training to the restaurant teachers on how to use the created materials
Experiences and qualifications:
• Degree/Certificate in Hospitality or equivalent experience
• Knowledge in running a restaurant
• Good command of English, Khmer is a plus
• Experience in similar projects working on production of training materials
• Creative skills such as photography and/or drawing, strong interpersonal and communication skills
Location: This position is based in Phnom Penh
Duration: 3 months volunteer placement
