Diesel’s eyes beam with anticipation—well, for a second. The little dachshund is undecided about this strange game. Every so often he looks up and barks insistently, demanding a treat. He tries to grab it. He hides under a chair and comes out again, curious and sniffing. He lifts one front paw expectantly.
