A Successful Growth Since 1995

Happy Painting was founded in 1995 in Cambodia, Phnom Penh, by Stephane Delapree.

Since 1995, Happy Painting creates and sells paintings conveying the Happy Painting concept, a colorful and positive vision of daily life in South-East Asia. Following its success, Happy Painting Gallery soon developped in by-products, producing and selling t-shirts, dolls and postcards.

For the past 13 years, Happy Painting Gallery has grown continously, opening one gallery after another, associating with more and more patners. Happy Painting Gallery had such prestigious partners as the Raffle Hotel, the Sofitel Hotel, the Intercontinental Hotel or SCA. Happy Painting Gallery is now a well-estabished and experienced business in Cambodia.

Special requests will require you to deal directly with the artist Stef (stef[AT]happypainting[DOT]net). The price will depend of the project size, support and complexity. Commissioned painting is a great way to preserve memory or give a joyful and sympathetic character to your enterprise's lobby. Anything may become a subject: your enterprise's building or related themes.

HPG Galleries and Partners

5 galleries in Cambodia are exclusively dedicated to Happy Painting, diplaying non-stop exhibitions. They are all ideally located in busy and touristic areas:

Additionnally, more than 15 partner shops represent HPG throughout Cambodia. Among them are for instance, the world duty free shop Dufry which sells Happy Painting Gallery t-shirts or Partnerbook which sells serigraphs and merchandising.

50% of all profits go toward improving education in Cambodia via the Action et Aide organization.

HPG Employees

• Management: The president is in charge of creation and supervises sales in Phnom Penh. The manager supervizes sales in Siem Reap, manages relationship with partners and looks for new investing opportunities.
• Production of original painting, quality check: Happy Painting Gallery employs 7 Cambodian women at full time in Phnom Penh workshop: 5 workshop assistants- 1 accountant -1 Workshop chief.
• Sales: Happy Painting Gallery employs 12 Cambodian women at full time and 2 at part time during week-end.
• Serigraphies and merchandising manufacturing: Happy Painting Gallery subcontracts manufacturing to 4 companies. Moreover, Happy Painting Gallery resorts to occasional workforce in rush period.
  Each Happy Painting Gallery employee is offered an appropriate artistic training. The employees work in safe and clean conditions and are provided fair and equitable wages.
