7 pm, Tuesday 11 December at Meta-House:
17 years in the making, this Wednesday Meta-House will host the book launch of Em Satya's 'Flower of Battambang'. This may be Cambodia's first-ever locally made comic to be printed in graphic novel format (Khmer, English, French). View the original art & printed copies, meet special guests from the Khmer comic art scene, and watch a "Comic Art Battle"!

Well, the Khmer version of Bopha Battambang is out, and we are already considering going back to press! The launch went down a treat, you can see a handful of pictures at http://www.siewphewyeung.org.kh
Via 'instant alert' email we had promised ten Khmer copies to EAS readers, at $1 a book I think many in the mob who attended were happy to buy it!
So: if you were there but forgot to mention EAS, or regret that you missed the launch, the first 10 people to email us requesting a free comic will get one. Just say you heard it from Expat-Advisory.

English and French versions are on the way, and we will also post a list of Cambodian stores that carry the book shortly. Stay 'tooned!
