Hello,

I am looking for a 1-bedroom flat or studio, ideally to move in late May but that's a bit flexible. It would be for me alone, and I don't want a share with roommates. (I've had too many bad ones in college.) My budget is $300.

I don't care much about the neighborhood as long as it's not way far out (so maybe not Tuol Kork) and I can go home at night without getting robbed or wading through knee-high water. I work roughly at 158 and Monivong: in a perfect world, my place would be within walking distance/short bicycle ride of work.

I want a decent-sized living space and real kitchen to entertain friends; the bedroom can be just a loft. I care about charm and "hominess" more than square footage. I don't want one of those serviced apartments where you live like in a hotel. Something like a Chinese compartment would be great. Even better: a Western full bathroom, AC and a loft bedroom you can actually stand up in. But I know I might have to compromise. I'm here to stay at least another year.
