Hello,

I am wrapping up my summer internship in Phnom Penh and will move out of my current room Saturday, August 31st 2013. For two and a half months, I've lived in Toul Kork with Leakhena Sophan, who is an incredible Khmer flatmate - she speaks Khmer, French and English; she's traveled around and has a great, entrepreneurial personality; she's got a beautiful smile and joie-de-vivre that will brighten anyone's day; she'll surprise you with some great culinary skills and her resourcefulness; if you're into rock-climbing, she's the girl that'll take you to amazing places to climb and teach you how to perfect your skills.
Besides living with a wonderful person, the perks of this living situation is that everything's a short bike ride away; the house is very nice and clean, with a great balcony full of plants (and a hammock!); you'll get to experience and live with a local in a place where expats tend to group themselves in bubbles and it's hard to really get to befriend locals; it's $170/a month for a room, wifi, electricity, a laundry facility and the occasional meals should you decide to stay in.
If interested, please contact me (Claire Beatley) at cabeatley [at] gmail [dot] com or Leakhena herself at Leakhenasophan [at] gmail [dot] com. She'll have a spare room starting in September, and I can't recommend her place enough!
