Hi, I am in need of a room to rent near the Independant Monument, however, I am open to other areas not too far from that. My budget is up to $300.

I am arriving to Phnom Penh on May 2nd for 12 months to work. As I will be starting work on May 4th, I need to find a place quickly!!!

I am an almost 30 year old female from Australia and this will be my first time in Cambodia.

Please email me (Belinda) at BMCSF [at] hotmail [dot] com if you have anything that fits this description.

Hi Belinda,

I think you may have already talked to my housemate, but just incase you havn't, we have a room available in Boeung Trebike which is a fantastic location near markets, restaurants, gyms (both local & wetern), a local fun park and very close to the main part of PP (riverside, national monument etc - 10mins by tuk tuk).

The room itself is $185 p/m which includes: air-con, ensuite, queen bed & wardrobe. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and one of the bedrooms also has an ensuite, the main bathroom has a massive spa and washing machine, we have a balcony over looking the fun park so you can suss out the action, we have a huge roof top with fantastic city views were we occasionally exercise, it's also a great place to chill out and read/have a few beers. We have very friendly Khmer guard and 2 guard dogs (you won't be best mates with them, but there good guard dogs none the less) and we have cable TV.

So……about who you could be living with: Eve and I are AYADS (Australian Youth Ambassador for Development) which you’ve probably heard of, Eve works for UNIAP in their anti-human trafficking area and I work for an NGO called BirdLife International in wildlife conservation. My partner just moved over here also, he's name is Andi and he has recently begun a teaching English course CAMTEFL. Where nice people, friendly, we all love to cook, where pretty clean and we love to have a drink!

I hope all this sounds OK and possibly what you are looking for. If you are interested and would like to come over and have a look, please give Michelle a call on: 0925 28608.

Good luck with the transition and move from Oz!, you'll love it here, so many things to do, so many party's, lots of Aussies, fantastic food and the Khmers are lovely!!
