Beautiful 4 bedroom traditional wooden Khmer house with large balcony on Street 19, behind the Royal Palace. The sitting room is relaxed and comfortable, we have TV, cable and a bookcase filled with books and dvds. The living room and kitchen are semi-outdoors which allows for a nice breeze in the evenings and all the rooms have ceiling fans (not having aircon also helps keep the electricty bills low). The TV has cable and the house is above the landlord's house so it's secure - we have a good relationship with the landlord and his family so it's a relaxed peaceful place to live.

The house is in a really good location on street 19 behind the Royal Palace. Our house is at the end of a small lane off Street 19 where lots of Khmer families live, there are always children playing in the lane and women cooking outside so it very much feels like you are in Cambodia. We are also very close to st 240 (2 mins) which has nice boutique shops, coffee shops and a couple of bars. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the riverside from our house and we are 5 minutes from Independence Monument.

There is 1 large en-suite room for rent, $150 per month excluding bills.

The kitchen is fully equipped and all furniture stays in the house - so you don't need to bring anything.

Cleaner/Ironer is $20 per month and electricity bills are usually about $10-15 each. Internet is $5 a month.
