Had some friends around on Sunday watching Aussie Rules Football on PPCTV digital - Australia Network channel 52.( a regular weekend activity) Half way through the second quarter the game went off and a moto race replaced it. Australia Network came back on air after the moto race finished.Tried to tune into Australia Network a few days later and it had been replaced by another fox movie channel. A few phone calls were made before I was finally transferred to someone who spoke "some" English and supposedly had "some" position with the company and was informed that Australia Network had indeed now been replaced by another channel. The reason given was that Australia Network was too expensive ( I think...like I said, he spoke "some" English)
Being an avid Aussie Rules fan I had only recently signed up with PPCTV digital as my usual cable tv provider CCCTV ceased airing Australia Network back in December. Once it was established that this seemed to be a permanent situation I expressed my concern and informed the guy that myself and many of my Aussie friends would no longer be renewing our subscriptions when due if Australia Network stayed off air. Being as we only signed up to be able to view that particular channel.
So I am asking anyone out there also affected by Australia Network being replaced by another channel to do as we have done and contact PPCTV. Maybe the decision can be reversed if enough bad feedback is received. thanx Rob (go tige's)
