Tigger went missing from street 9 early on Saturday morning.
His regular haunts are Street 308, Hun Sen park, Wat Botum Park, the Palace and Riverfront.
He has distinctive ginger and brown brindle markings, a full tail, and was wearing a beige-coloured flea collar. He is a very sweet and friendly dog but startles quite easily.
I am very well aware of the fate of most dogs that disappear in Cambodia, but for now I am trying to hope he might still be out there.
Please contact me on 012822803 or dancingroads [at] gmail [dot] com if you see him or have any leads that might bring him home to me and his 'big sister', Gee.
Thank you,
Sonia
I am very happy to report that Tigger was reunited with myself and his bog sister,Gee, yesterday evening.
The morning he went missing he had wandered into a random 3rd floor apartment on the morning he went missing and refused to leave. The 2 Cambodian men who lived there looked after him and fed him beef from Kap Ko market when he refused white rice. He has been safe and sound with them just 200m from home all along.
By a stroke of luck, a waitress from One More Pub who knows him happened to live next door and she spotted him. The reunion was wonderful, though his carers were sad to see him leave and asked us to visit.
It is nice to have a "happily ever after " story in Cambodia that restores your faith in the kindness of strangers
I cannot express how grateful I am for all the messages and support I have received in trying to find him. Thank you from all three of us.
I will definitely be investing in a dog tag with my phone number and the Khmer word for "Reward"!
Great news...thanks for the update.
