I like a poncy sandwich with exotic ingredients from time to time, but in Phnom Penh I sometimes get annoyed that you can get nothing but. The alternatives such as Freebird come dripping in fat and a side of fries, also nice from time to time, but I don't want to be eating it everyday.

Enter Fat Boys, their subs are great. Fresh non-pompous or grease soaked ingredients on freshly cooked bread. So I'm now a happy camper in the sandwich department!

My only gripe with Fat Boy's is their delivery policy, a $10 minimum order means they loose $25 of business to Java Express from me in a week, as I can't be bothered to drive there from the Phnom Penh Center everyday and I'm never going to eat $10 worth of food. I even told the girl on the phone that I would pay an extra $1 for delivery and was told NO!

Any company doing food delivery should take lessons from Java Express. They always come very quickly (often under 10 minutes), they always have the right change to break a $20 and they very rarely cock up your order. Java Express clearly make a killing on deliveries, they have a whole fleet of delivery guys and I see them going up and down the stairs in my office building multiple times a day, never mind the countless other office blocks around Phnom Penh.

I dont know where you at a hamburger dripping with grease, but it sure wasn't Freebird (sounds more like Java)? That is another thread, anyway Fatboy is the best thing yet to come to Phnom Penh with respect to a fresh quick sandwich.

No complaints from me and my staff regarding Fatboys!. They make great subs.
Working our in the "burbs" in Toul Svay Prey II it's great to have places like Fatboys and
Mount Everest delivering excellent food at lunchtime.

Of course we now have KFC out this part of town these days at Sovanna............................YUCK!!!!!

@Warehorse Sorry dripping was the wrong wording, but you know what I mean. Freebird food is delicious and very consistent, but you don't need me to point out the fact that it's probably not the healthiest food on offer in Phnom Penh.

Like I said I love FatBoys food, just trying to give them a nudge to update their delivery policy. I think if they charged $1 for delivery or free for orders >$10 they would get more business.

It's underneath Sharkey's in the same location as the old Sharky Mart. It's very similar to Subway in terms of what's on offer and how you can build your own sub, but I would say that the ingredients are of a much higher quality than what you find at your average Subway outlet. They bake their own white and wholegrain subs, which were good to begin with, but have improved with time and now been promoted to 'great' status in my book.

Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
