I know a number have commented on the driving proficiency of our Cambodian hosts on numerous occasion and have learned to live with driving down the wrong side of the road, left or right turn from the opposite side of the street, failing to stop at red lights, complete disregard for safety while driving and talking on the cell phone, a total disregard for the lines on the (particularly the double yellow ones) and my all time favorite fleeing the scene of an accident. This morning I was confronted with the potential of a head on with a number 40 embassy SUV. His complete disregard for the double yellow line was unreal and his lack of understanding of the English obscenities that I yelled just goes to show you. This is not the first time and will not be the last, most of the time its green Cambodian government SUV that are notorious for crossing the double line.

With all lets save the world NGO's here, may I suggest that that you take a close hard look at your own organizations and clean up your act. The next time that this happens I will allow the vehicle to collide with me and make me a millionaire if god willing to survive and testify and damage the image of the organization or embassy. I know that none of them or their head offices wants bad publicity. "NGO/EMBASSY vehicle found in the wrong when involved in an accident with Expat motorist, family demands compensation".

Often see embassy vehicles driven worse then khmer vehicles-of course they have diplomatic immunity.
Which country is 40-ring themand give them a serve.
I have seen NGO and embasy vehicled driven badly so often I wonder if there is any way we can dob the drivers in.

They should all have a number to call "Hows my driving?"

I would suggest a reward, but Bong would try to turn himself in for the money. Lets see what our NGO readers have to say or are they to busy for us poor private sector peasants.

Got run out of my lane by an oncoming US EMBASSY landcruiser last night on Mao Tse Tung. Could not see the driver as he was flashing hi high beams on whilst on the wrong side of the road, but managed to see CD25 on the plate at he flashed by. Maybe he was running late for the start of American Idol or some such emergency.

I'd suggest that driving a car with NGO all over it would be a bit of a buzz for a local driver.

"I can drive like ,,, Insert any member of the govt you like here..."

However, I'm also confident that NGO's don't want bad press, and there are several who would like to be made aware that their driver's are putting them to shame and perhaps have a word or two with the driver.

Well Boys, do you want this sort off feed back ????
