Chenda Polyclinic, a private clinic in Phnom Penh, is looking to hire personnel for the following positions. The incumbent will be an employee of Chenda Polyclinic and assigned to work at the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit No. 2 (NAMRU2), located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

1. Entomology Supervisor (1 Position)

Minimum Qualifications:
- BSC in a Biological or Medical Science (with specialty in Entomology).

- At least five years experience in a clinical or research laboratory, a track record of independent research activity to include writing and implementing of scientific protocols or authorship in peer reviewed scientific journals, and three years of supervisory experience in a laboratory or research environment.

- Computer literate in MS Office Suite and Access.

- English level III proficiency in reading, writing and speaking.

Duties:
- Provides laboratory training and technical expertise to support locally hired laboratory technicians.

- Directly supervises laboratory and field work in direct support of NAMRU2 research operations; routinely leads collection, identification and molecular characterization of animals that carry human disease.

- Makes and/or assembles all reagents, media, forms and equipment necessary to complete tasks; stores reagents and equipment under proper storage conditions.

- Monitors inventory in accordance with current systems; checks and annotates the expiration dates of supplies and reagents; submits supply requests; cleans and stores properly all reagents and equipment; handles and disposes all material according to NIPH/Laboratory safety instruction.

- Oversees laboratory safety and works with Safety Officers to ensure instructions are followed.

- Writes Standard Operating Procedures and ensures compliance to all approved lab procedures in a well-organized, neat and chronological lab notebook/computer for easy retrieval.

- Acts as the subject matter expert guiding research and troubleshoot non-routine problems; and whose work is inspected by senior staff.
