The Learning Institute is seeking a creative and proactive young development professional and fluent English speaker to work with the Learning Institute team to develop and implement an effective resource mobilization strategy for the organization. They will also be responsible for helping LI to implement its organizational strategy and monitoring and evaluation system.

The Learning Institute (People and Natural Resources) - is a non-profit Cambodian organization working with a wide range of civil society, public, private and community based organizations so that they can contribute more effectively to the sustainable management of natural resources for the benefit of rural people. Main Responsibilities:

Resource Mobilization and Fundraising

•Collaborate with the strategic management team to develop an effective resource mobilization strategy for the organization

•Identify and prioritize potential donors for core funding and/or support for the program needs at the Learning Institute

•Advise on developing relationships with strategic partners, NGOs, government agencies, companies, foundations and other organizations and individuals with whom the Learning Institute can collaborate in raising its profile with potential donors, or create partnerships in fundraising, or awareness raising activities

•Assist with the writing, packaging and presenting of grant proposals and concept notes; facilitate donor visits and meetings and negotiations for funding

•Mobilize other aspects of the resource mobilization strategy, especially to diversify funding sources

•Provide support on developing communications media including the website, briefing papers, annual report and other promotional materials, etc

M&E and Reporting

•Help to provide inputs to improve and implement the M&E system and M&E action plan at Learning Institute

•Assist each program component with monitoring and reporting on progress

•Assist with editing/proofreading of major reports and publications

•When suitable, carry out other relevant tasks as requested by the Strategic Management Team at the Learning Institute

Experiences and Qualifications

•International candidate;
•Master degree in international development management or related field;
•Experience in networking, donor relations and developing/writing project proposals;
•Experience with monitoring and evaluation systems in an NGO context;
•Project/Program management experience is highly advantageous;
•Capacity to work independently and take initiative;
•Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills;
•Ability and commitment to work as part of team;
•Motivation skills and team building capacity;
•Excellent English (oral and written) required;
•Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills.

Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Duration: Full-time work; Minimum commitment - one year
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
