JOB POSTING

Job Titles:

English Teacher/Child Advocate and English Teacher/Health Coordinator.

1 or 2 part-time positions are available for 10 to 35 hours per week. Schedule will be mornings and/or afternoons. Suitable for Cambodian Nationals.

Salary:

Based on skills and experience; around $1.50 per hour.

Organization:

Aziza Schoolhouse, based in Tonle Bassac, is an NGO to help the residents of Building Block, mostly with free English classes, as well as health and school support, social activities and computer classes (just starting). Employees and volunteers are encouraged to bring their ideas and skills to contribute to help young people improve their lives.

At this time we are creating a new school at a different location. We are a grass-roots organization and depend on good people to deliver our services, as well as create new ways of fulfilling the needs of the community.

The following are the requirements of the position(Drunk:

    Teaching experience (desired)
    English language (at least at an intermediate level)
    Must like children.
    Desire to help low income people.
    Strong preference for one female and one male as we want the teachers to be a resource for young women and men.
    Desire to learn on the job and assist with new programs (health and hygiene, leadership, job training and placement).
    Knowledge of health and hygiene topics desirable.
    Good attitude.

The selected applicant(Drunk will work with the American director and may also assist with translation and management duties, oversee student volunteers, lead field trips and assist children individually.
