Our City Festival | September 2011

Our City Festival brings together creative professionals to celebrate Phnom Penh's
urban heritage and culture. It is a platform for dynamic art and architecture events, talks and exhibitions that celebrate urbanism in the city and fosters opportunities for dialogue and public engagement.

Our City Festival is currently seeking a Media and Communications Coordinator.

This is a voluntary position that provides opportunities to meet and work with key organizations and people in the art, architecture, urban planning and media sectors.

Key responsibilities for the position:

• Build partnerships with both online and print media for the festival

• Work with festival team to create a marketing strategy that reaches a broad demographic across Khmer and English language speakers

• Assist in coordinating press conference for the festival

Time Commitment

We are looking for someone to start in late July. Leading up to the festival the applicant would meet with the festival team once a week and spend half day a week pursuing the position's objective.

During the festival the time commitment will increase however it will remain flexible.

Qualities of Applicant

• Strong interest in Art or Architecture in desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail; strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail clients, and social networking sites
