In Cambodia's untouched Koh Rong Archipelago, two pristine islands lie side by side. They are known locally as Song Saa - Khmer for 'The Sweethearts'. We are currently seeking a qualified Marine Biologist, for a six month internship, to work in Cambodia’s first Marine Protected Area (MPA) that surrounds the islands.
The role of the successful candidate will be to:
• Work closely with the local Environment Committee
• Create Coral Regeneration Programs
• Reef protection, i.e., illegal fishing, trapping and anchoring within the established perimeter

The successful candidate will have:
• A university degree in Marine Biology
• Highly responsible with the ability to work autonomously
• An Advanced PADI Dive license or equivalent
• A love of the environment and a passion for conservation

While not required, boating experience is a plus as well as Khmer language skills.

The position is based on the island and while trips can be made to the mainland, the vast majority of time will spent there.
