SBK Research and Development is a leading local consultancy firm in Cambodia. Established in 1999, it has so far implemented 56 assignments related to research, monitoring and evaluation, and project management in the fields of health, resettlement, water and sanitation, livelihoods, engineering, business, education and vocational training and environment. SBK Research and Development is in need of a qualified expatriate candidate to fill the position of Head of Social Development Department, based in Phnom Penh. Duties:

1. Preparing proposals and expressions of interests for social development assignments, and defending these with Clients.

2. Assisting project teams to prepare progress or final reports, or editing reports after they have been done to ensure they comply with the needs and requirements of Clients.

3. Overseeing administrative works of the department, including recruiting staff.

4. Preparing company brochures and updating the company website.

5. Attending meetings with Clients to discuss project progress.

6. Performing other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.

Requirements:

Ø Masters in Development Studies or in a related field;

Ø At least 2-3 years of development experience in Cambodia with experience in consulting firms being an advantage;

Ø Proven success in proposal writing to NGOs, INGOs, government ministries or to private companies;

Ø Highly skilled in monitoring and evaluating development projects;

Ø Familiarity in working with consultants, staff and government officials;

Ø Experience in marketing services to Clients;

Ø Fluent English speaker.
