Internship Seeking

In the next term, the Early Child Education and House Maid trainees will require a 3-month internship appropriated with their skills, which start from 19th April 2010 to 18th July 2010 for full-time or part-time. PSE (Pour un Sourire d’Enfant) would like to call for individual families Cambodian/ expatriate, Kindergartens/ Day Cares, Orphanage, Hospitals, NGOs, Nutrition centers, etc to allow opportunity for our students to conduct their internship and get experiences.

PSE is a non-political and non-religious association, created in March, 1993, which supports underprivileged and non-educated children. Since 1996, the children working and living in hard conditions in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanouk Province have been the organization’s focus.

PSE has provided education and training to more than 6,000 students. PSE’s vocational training consists of 9 training schools offering 19 separate skills such as Early Child Education, House Maid, Car Maintenance, Construction, Hairdressing and Spa, Executive Secretary, Sale and Marketing, etc.

Qualifications of our students:
House Maid
Year I :

o Provide basic care for the baby.
o Prevent the child from some infection diseases
o Identify the groups of Nutrition and their important.
o Know the development stage of fetus(During Pregnancy Period)
o Identify the normal development of children both physical and mental.
o Take care of the child when they get sick and respect the prescription from Doctor.
o Know basic human anatomy and the function of each organ.
o Understand the step of psychology development through to the children’s age.
- General Course: Moral and professional, English and French, Mathematics, etc.
Early Child Education:
- Year I
o Practice maid tasks related to hospitality field such as flower arrangement, room management, kitchen, and laundry and bath materials preparation.
o Classify categories of food, be aware of nutrition knowledge and prepare basic food for small family (5-7 members).
o Know food for health care, body hygiene, food sanitation, cooling chain.
o Be able to cook some Khmer Food and French Food.
o Prepare simple juice with standardized hotel make-up.
o Prepare baking for family and arrange fruit with different kinds of styles.
o Arrange hospitality for a small group party.
o Manage petty cash for buying materials at market and prepare budget management.
