MEDiCAM is a membership organization for NGOs active in the health sector with regional offices in Battambang, Stung Treng and Siem Reap, and a head office in Phnom Penh. Its mandates are to represent the voice of health NGOs; share information; facilitate advocacy and build capacity. Part of its advocacy facilitation includes coordinating MEDiCAM’s NGO-Child Survival Working Group and Reproductive Health Working Group. MEDiCAM is currently seeking one position:

Health Information Officer

Medicam Senior Information Officers are key actors collecting, analyzing and synthesizing information. Managing materials and documents that are needed by Medicam's wide Membership. As such, they use modern information technology and are in touch with the policy-makers and other stakeholders in their field of information.

Responsibilities:
 Maintain and upgrade MEDiCAM resource center's database that includes the identification of all existing information in the health sector;
 Represent or coordinate & follow-up Medicam representation in all technical meetings;
 Develop/write articles in MediNews using information obtained from meetings/workshops. Publications and email/internet:
 Announce news gathered to Medicam members during MEDiCAM meetings and promote information exchange among the membership;
 Assess Medicam members information needs on a regular basis.
 Translating articles from English to Khmer and vice versa

Profile:
 Cambodian National;
 MD or advanced degree in a health preferred ;
 At least 3 years working with health system in Cambodia;
 Good understanding of the work of bilateral and multilateral agencies as well as the NGO community involved in the health sector in Cambodia;
 Ability in analyzing and synthesizing information;
 Experience in communicating information and networking with others
