I'm planning on moving to PP in the near future from the US. I had a question about landing a job. Are the companies very strict on degrees over there? I graduated from High school in the States and went to College for a few years but did not obtain any degree. I pretty much just got my certificate from the Police Academy. I speak and write fluently in English, I am fluent in speaking Cambodian as well, but can't read it or write it.. Pretty much, would not having a degree hurt me in finding a job in PP? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If you are fluent in speaking Khmer does that you mean you are also Khmer ethnicity?

That could be seen as both advantage or disadvantage depending on the job you apply for as sometimes white skin is preferred, othertimes females are preferred.

It could be seen as a benefit by NGOs though as you would have insight into international and local mindset.

Yes, I am of Khmer ethnicity. I was never raised in Cambodia. Lived here in the states for the 27 yrs of my life, but looking to change the lifestyle and live at a slower pace.

I don't believe in taking bribes or taking advantage of people. My mindset is to get the job done with integrity. If worst comes to worst, I will just open up a bar. Smile
