The Group for the Environment, Renewable Energy and Solidarity (GERES) Cambodia is an international NGO aiming to preserve the environment and improve the living conditions of the Cambodian people by reducing fuelwood consumption, emissions of greenhouse gases, costs of household energy, and ultimately by enhancing the sustainability of ongoing renewable energy services.

GERES Cambodia is seeking one qualified candidate to fill the following full-time position of Project Development Officer, (01 position), based in Phnom Penh with frequent travel to the provinces.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision and reporting to the Country Director, the Project Development Officer is responsible of the following tasks:
• Prospecting funding opportunities relevant to GERES Cambodia's activities (private foundations, corporate foundations, private companies, solidarity finance...)
• Mobilize resources from various potential partners (cash, in kind, etc.) to supplement the current funding;
• Collaborate with the Communications Department for the production of marketing and sponsorship materials to promote GERES Cambodia's projects and to develop a fund raising tool kit;
• Collaborate closely with project managers to achieve deep comprehension of current and future projects and to identify resource needs of projects;
• Develop project proposals to donor agencies and support fund raising activities;
• Participate in international energy and climate change related events to promote GERES Cambodia's projects and report on fund raising activities;
• Assisting the Core Management in defining Cambodia funding strategy
• Establish and maintain good relations and contacts with donor agencies, partners and network of climate change partners;
• Undertake any other tasks relevant to the position;

Requirements:
• BA level or above in Marketing & Communications, Finance, Administration, or relevant field. Minimum 4 years relevant experience;
• Strong experience on resource mobilization with proven track record and energy;
• Proficient professional English, with excellent writing and editorial qualities
• Excellent skill in Logical Framework Development and Analysis
• Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills, ability to establish contact with people from different backgrounds and cultures and organization skills;
• Able to work independently
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Khmer an asset
