Friends-International is a social enterprise that works with marginalized urban children and youth, their families and communities, to help them become independent and productive citizens of their country.
Friends-International (FI) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Psychosocial Technical Advisor.

Position overview
Psychosocial Technical Advisor will provide support and give psychosocial technical input to teams working directly on the field. This role has a focus on the capacity building of national staff and requires both skills in the development of program activities and the development and provision of training to staff.

PSYCHOSOCIAL TECHNICAL ADVISOR will:
• Provide Case Management (CM) support for the analysis of complex cases on a request basis from program staff;
• Follow up and monitor implemented CM Processes and CM Meeting Procedures with Phnom Penh teams;
• Implement and improve CM and Case Supervision with other FI programs through developing guidebooks and Standards Of Procedure;
• Review and develop Case Management and Counseling training;
• Maintain an overall view of training packages within FI;
• Undertake quality check and deliverable readiness of training packages;
• Develop structure of supervision and emotional support to social workers aimed at reducing transference of trauma and burn out;
• Develop community interventions such as emotional support groups, outreach activities, solidarity groups and youth activities on a needs basis with teams;
• Reinforce Child Protection awareness in communities and review Child Protection Procedures in FI implementing locations.

Experiences and qualifications:
• University degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychosocial studies;
• Knowledge of Child Protection, Case Management Systems, Child Rights, Counseling Skills, Risk Assessment;
• Experience working with Youth/children and family services, Child Protection, Mental Health, Drug Services or Domestic Violence;
• Microsoft Office, knowledge in database systems for case management is a plus;
• Good command of spoken and written English, Khmer is a plus;
• Good Writing, Communication and Time Management Skills, knowledge of Child Protection issues, well organized and self driven.

Location: This position is based in Phnom Penh but with regular travels in Cambodia (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and other provinces), some travel to regional FI implementing program locations may be required.
Duration: Full-time work
