Friends-International is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of a Designer for its Social Businesses.

Position overview
The Designer will design marketing and communication tools for the social business team and support the product development process by providing input on implementation of product ideas and product design

GRAPHIC/PRODUCT DESIGNER will:
• Conceptualize, design and layout communication and marketing materials such as brochures, advertisements, flyers and point of sales communication material based on briefings from marketing or communications team
• Develop logos and other brand identification components in line with defined style guide, Friends’ branding history and the Friends identity
• Help implement the design aspects of the social business marketing strategy
• Build capacity within local in-house design team members overseeing their design projects
• Actively take part in product development process: Give input on market-driven product ideas, challenge ideas, add own ideas to the product creation process
• Conceptualize design aspect of products in close collaboration with marketing team and production teams in social programs
• Take part in discussion with production team during sampling process providing design related expertise

Experiences and qualifications:
• Degree in graphic design or associated discipline (product design, interior design, architecture, fashion design)
• Creative approach to design work with a sound understanding of marketing and communication
• Design work experience (min. 5 years) in a similar role at a professional level (in a non-profit or for-profit organization),
• An excellent knowledge and understanding of graphic creation
• Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English
• High creativity, strong communication skills, ability to work independently, good time management and ability to deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines, photography is a plus
Location: This position is based in Phnom Penh
Duration: Full-time work
