Friends-International (FI) is expanding its internationally recognized and successful vocational training restaurant model across South-East Asia and beyond. We are seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to fill the position of Chef /Cooking Trainer to join the development of this exciting project. (http://tree-alliance.org)

Position overview
The Chef/Cooking trainer will implement International kitchen standards and provide training to hospitality staff with FI and its partners. The trainer will be teaching “hands-on’’ in busy training restaurants as well as in classroom setting.

The Chef/Cooking Trainer will:
• Provide cooking and chef training
• Provide health and safety training
• Provide general and personal hygiene training
• Design menu and calculate food costing
• Set up an international standard kitchen
• Design and deliver training of cooking teachers
• Oversee and support all training restaurant teams

Experiences and qualifications:
• Trained Chef with minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef
• Excellent communication skills, training qualities, patient, energetic, flexible, thorough, able to work in a team with various cultural backgrounds, passion for Asian food
• Knowledge in how to run an international standard restaurant kitchen
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
• Fluency in English (verbal and written), any other Asian language is a plus

Location: This position is based in Phnom Penh but requires local and international travels.
Duration: Full-time work.
