Friends-International (FI), a global social enterprise working with marginalized people to build better futures for them, has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join their Friends Social Businesses Team.
We are expanding our internationally recognized and successful vocational training restaurant model across South-East Asia and we are seeking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Chef/Cooking Trainer and join the development of this project.

Position summary
The chef/cooking trainer will implement kitchen International standards and provide training to hospitality staff with FI and its partners

Main Responsibilities

He/she will be responsible for:

- Cooking and chef training
- Health and safety training
- General and personal hygiene training
- Food costing and menu design
- Setting up of an international standard kitchen
- “Train the trainers” for the cooking teachers teams
- Oversee and support all training restaurant teams

Experiences and qualifications

Education: Trained Chef
Knowledge: Running an international standard restaurant kitchen
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef
Computer and office technology: Basic computer skills (word, excel)
Language: Fluency in English (verbal and written) any other Asian language is a plus
Skills: Excellent communication skills, training qualities, patient, energetic, flexible, thorough, able to work in a team from various cultural backgrounds, passion for Asian food
Location: This position is based in Phnom Penh but requires local and international travels
Duration: Full-time work
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences.
