Profile:
Pour un Sourire d’ Enfant (PSE) is a non-profit organization, established at the end of 1995 in Cambodia, working to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to more than 6,500 disadvantaged children in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap.
PSE is seeking candidates for the position of Foreign Volunteer for English Speaking Classes, one full time post and two part time posts, based in Phnom Penh to commence in December 2013.
Responsibilities:
Teach English Speaking classes. PSE classes are usually 20-35 students, aged 17+
Create English Speaking activities and materials to support the General English levels
Promote the use of English inside and outside the classroom and within the English team
Provide much needed speaking and pronunciation practice
Boost students’ confidence in speaking
Provide group and pair work speaking activities
Prepare students for interviews in English
Requirements:
English native or second language speaker
Bachelor degree
Some English teaching experience preferred
Ability to create speaking activities
Respect for PSE policies and values
Good at communication, shows initiative, flexible and well-organized
Patient and self-disciplined
Part time (5 teaching hrs/ week), Full time ( 20 teaching hrs/ week)
Able to commit to minimum three month contract
