Description:
Cambodian Living Arts, a project of World Education, seeks an Executive Director (ED).

The mission of Cambodian Living Arts is to help generate a renaissance for the arts of Cambodia. It's vision is that by 2020 the living arts, not the killing fields or only the temples of Angkor, will be the international signature of Cambodia, inspiring pride in Cambodians around the world

The ED will be chief administrator and leader of Cambodian Living Arts (CLA), and provide direction and inspiration for the organization as it works to fulfill its mission and attain its vision. The ED will be responsible for overall planning, implementation and evaluation of CLA programming. The ED will also lead CLAs overall fundraising efforts in Cambodia and abroad, and will be the primary spokesperson for CLA. S/he will also provide oversight of administrative, financial and human resource management. This position is based in Phnom Penh, with periodic travel to the United States required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities will include:
1.Spearheading strategic planning, development and implementation of action plans
2.Extensive responsibility for fundraising activities in Cambodia and abroad including individual donors, foundations, corporations and international agencies
3.Staff hiring and management, and program oversight and management
4.Development of income generating projects and marketing activities
5.Budget oversight and responsibility for overall financial management
6.Accountability to the Board of Directors

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
1.Successful fundraising experience and proposal development skill
2.Program management and reporting experience
3.Financial management experience
4.Personnel management experience
5.Excellent English communications skills, both speaking and writing
6.Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
7.Strategic planning experience
8.Ability to work collaboratively
9.Able to work under pressure with multiple, competing deadlines
10.Experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders (government, board, community, other arts organizations, donors, etc.)
11.Media liaison and public relations experience

Preferred qualifications:
* Experience with arts organizations and/or the performing arts sector
* Board liaison experience
* Knowledge and professional experience in Cambodia
* Education (teaching) experience
* Some knowledge of Cambodian culture and the Khmer language
