Media sales is a dynamic and competitive industry sector and the role of The Business Development Manager is tactically critical to our revenues in the short, medium and long-term. With an emphasis on maximizing revenues and business from key clients in the markets, this is a role selling advertising specifically on NRG89fm

By gaining strategic insight into every aspect of our industry sector The Business Development Manager will drive a strategy and tactical plan to ensure future gain as much as possible of new and existing clients advertising budgets.

The Business Development Manager will be involved in making overall strategies for the growth of business along with senior management and directors of the company.

The Business Development Manager will be in charge of developing, establishing and maintaining strategies to meet sales objectives, effective sales management, advertising and promotional activities of the organization. She/ he will be based in Phnom Penh although she/ he should also be able to travel countrywide.
3-5 years of experience in sales required (experience in the media field is a plus).

Reporting To the General Manager.

Minimum experience required
3-5 years of experience in Business Development Manager or a Sales & Marketing role required (experience in the media field is a plus)

Minimum education level required
Bachelor's Degree

Minimum career level required
Experienced (Managerial)

Languages required
Fluent in spoken and written Khmer and English

Main duties and responsibilities
• Prospects for target clients for an increased business / revenue growth.
• Analyses and planning innovative strategies of selling.
• Endeavour to build healthy bonds with new clients.
• Determine sales targets and ensure they are successfully achieved.
• Identify new opportunities for sales campaigns that can lead to increased sales / revenue.
• Discusses and consult with other managers on latest business trends with a view to introduce innovative products or services in future.
• Understands the company's reputation and ensure to retain that image.

Key Skills /Requirements:
• Minimum 2/3 years experience within Business Development/New Business or Account Management role (face-to-face experience imperative; experience within the media, marketing and communications world preferred)
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Self starter who is target-driven and motivated – must be comfortable in a target oriented environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (telephone, written and face-to-face)
• Consultative sales skills: our audience is made up of agencies/media owners and requires a balance of soft sell approach and hard sell closure
• Excellent time management, an individual who thrives on working autonomously
• Experience working in a marketing / agency/ media environment and understanding of (and passion for) the industry.
• The ideal candidate will be determined, outgoing, positive, articulate and diplomatic

Key Responsibilities will include:
• Generating leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing prospects
• Presenting to senior decision makers within agencies and businesses
• Understanding and keeping up-to-date with constant developments in the broadcast industry and agency market
• Identifying areas for expansion and development
• Developing a targeted long-term new business strategy to also regional and international agencies/media owners and foster growth in these key areas for the future
• Create weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance
• Delivering against these targets to ensure revenue expectations are met
• Working closely with the marketing department to develop bespoke campaigns to relevant prospects
• Inputting into sales and marketing collateral – how the business positions itself for various audiences
• Maximising networking opportunities and regularly using conferences, events and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts

Others requirements
• Business or Marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining sales and strategies
• Computer literate

Salary Level –
Appropriate salary level plus bonuses and commissions
