Standup Yangon at 50th Street Bar have a fantastic lineup prepared for you in mid-September. Luke Ashlocke (NBC, Comedy Central, London Film Festival) continues his world tour with two nights of hilarious standup upstairs at 50th Street. See Luke and featured performer Graham Wooding (Edinburgh Fringe), UK comedian out of Thailand and co-founder of Bangkok Hilarious Comedy Club as they take the mic, and all for free. Grand Royal brings us drink specials each night of the shows, so call ahead or get in early for a good seat!
Luke Ashlocke – Scotland/US/International
The Glasgow, Scotland native arrived in the US on a mission. From the minute he stepped onto the comedy scene he has been making waves. From Appearances on The Comedy Network’s; “The Great Canadian Laugh Off” and “The Montreal Comedy Festival” to The CWB’s “The Daily Buzz” and NBC’s “Night Shift” and “New Day”, to reviews such as “Funny As Hell” -Good Times Magazine, Long Island, NY & “This is what live stand up is supposed to be” – Weird Magazine, Austin, TX.
Luke is one of the hardest working comics in the industry today. In 2011 Luke was voted break out artist of the year at the Los Angeles Comedy Awards and won BEST Actor for his role in “Vicky and Sam” at the London Film Festival.

Graham Wooding – UK/Thailand
Graham Wooding started performing comedy after leaving performing arts college and driving comedians to gigs around the UK. He quickly found a love and talent for stand up and after only 11 shows won a coveted new act award. With award in hand he then joined the professional circuit and spent 6 years honing his craft and touring the UK, performing solo and with comedy groups. He is a survivor of five Edinburgh festivals having worked as a performer, writer and director.
He has since worked with top level acts and travelled to Australia to perform in two festivals and a tour of the east coast. Cape Town and Hong Kong saw Graham as show writer.
He was for a time known as ‘the guy with the panda joke’.
He is a founding member of Bangkok Hilarious comedy club in Bangkok and director of a comedy festival in Thailand coming in 2015.
