On April 29, 1967, a concert was held to benefit the British underground newspaper International Times, which had recently been raided by London police officers for supposed obscenity charges. The benefit "Technicolor Dream” marked the national emergence of several of the underground's biggest bands, such as the Pretty Things, the Soft Machine, and, most notably, Pink Floyd. Steven Gammond’s "A Technicolor Dream" (2008, 100 min) chronicles the development of England's counter-culture underground of the 1960s. It’s full of brand new interview footage with Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters and Nick Mason, John "Hoppy" Hopkins, Peter Jenner, Joe Boyd, Kevin Ayers, Barry Miles, Phil May from The Pretty Things and more. All of this is set in a musical context with the music of Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd.
