“Happy price drinks’ and ‘lucky for you’ bars combined with intoxicated street partiers and dancers saturate the area of Lan Kwai Fong, located on the island of Hong Kong. As an Englishman living there, LaFrenais Vidler was struck by how the area seemed to have organically grown from the hybrid of British and Chinese culture. It is the Happy Go Lucky hive of activity that captivated him and relates the exploration of this area to his photographic work - exploring the themes of social relationships with a particular investigation into the psychological and metaphysical barriers which seem to be placed between each of us.
