8PM: DOCUMENTARY – This May, a new documentary on the pall blanketing China’s skies by a former state television reporter swiftly commandeered the attention of more than 175 million views online. This highlighted the country's increased concern over air, water and soil pollution. Hosted by former state TV reporter Chai Jing, UNDER THE DOME (2015, 104 min) looks at how 30 years of development has cost China's environment. The director blames the government for failing to rein in polluters and allowing more coal, and oil production. Screening is presented by the Overseas Press Club of Cambodia.
