7PM: ACTOR’S TALK & FEATURE FILM - Tilo Prückner (born 1940) is a German television and film actor. His career has spanned five decades and more than 100 films. Welcome him at the Meta House for a talk, followed by the screening of the Finnish-Australian-German science fiction comedy IRON SKY (2012, 94 min), in which Prückner plays a mad Nazi scientist. Director Timo Vuorensola uses a B-movie plot as a pretext for hilarious gags: The Nazis set up a secret base on the dark side of the moon in 1945 where they hide out and plan to return to power in 2018. It’s so far is the most high-profile film to use crowdsourcing for both development and finances. The German cast provides uniformly the best performance in the film, with Julia Dietze, Udo Kier and Tilo Prückner in particular pitching their performances just on the right side of camp.
