RENT-A-RASTA is about Jamaica and reveals that men aren´t the only ones who indulge in sex tourism. When white women visit Jamaica for a holiday, they are often not looking for rest and relaxation but to RENT-A-RASTA (2006, 45 min) according to director J. Micheal Seyfert. The documentary claims that, each year, as many as 80.000 women from western countries travel to the island to meet a local man romantic rendezvous in exchange for cash and gifts from their home countries. The film examines the reaction of the Jamaican local people to this phenomenom.
