THE CORPORATE WORLD AND THE NEW CAMBODIAN ECONOMY

Korea Exchange and the Cambodian government have agreed to establish a Cambodia stock exchange. Tonight Dr. Philip Dews (Past Member of the London Stock Exchange and Co-Founder of the Bangkok Stock Exchange) will present the film “MY WORD IS MY BOND: THE EARLY HISTORY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE" (1968, 16mins).

This presentation/talk is followed by the Canadian documentary “THE CORPORATION” (2003, 145mins). Its directors Mark Achbar & Jennifer Abbott are critical of the modern-day corporation, treating it as a person and evaluating its behavior towards society and the world at large as a psychiatrist might evaluate an ordinary person.
