Pretty sureal to be sitting in this trendy internet cafe in Byron Bay. On the face book chat with A, and all of a sudden I hear a huge storm is blowing trees down all over Phom Penh. Then I texted my son and got a reply from his mother and all was ok.

If that happened in Australia I am sure the power would be down internet and phone. I mean I spent 3 days sitting on my red sofa by candle light during a power black out. I was also flooded in. The rain pounded into the tin roof and I could actually hear rocks and smashed branches and trees being swept down the creek beds. But the creeks were not creeks but swollen rivers.
I spent my time reading short stories to my sheep dog. There was not much else to do.
