Taking its roots on the grounds of a former opium refinery, Hoa Tuc (which translates as ‘Opium Poppy’) specializes in classic Vietnamese cuisine with a contemporary twist.
A glass and wrought iron canopy reminiscent of an early 20th century Paris metro covers the large terraced entrance, allowing for casual alfresco dining. Alternatively, the art-deco inspired interior promotes an even more elegant setting for fine dining.
Unusual and inspired finishes are given to Vietnamese standards, with seafood a particular strength - the barbecued sea bass with mango and avocado salsa is a tangy and moreish treat, washed down with one of the excellently selected wines.
