The monks in their saffron garbs crowded all around me, because they have never seen such a bike and they began to wonder about it: how much was it; how much gas does it take; what is the engine capacity and how fast does it go; where am I from; how old am I; and do I have a wife and how many children…
All sorts of questions and from all directions were falling down on my head in a Pidgin English so much so that I could barely return the answers.

The Lowdown:
Founded in May 2011, Dub Addiction are Cambodia’s first ragamuffin dub soundsystem, a blend of low down and dirty sub-bass lines, spacey delays and a fusion of classic Reggae Dub riddims with Cambodian vocals sung by MC Curly and Dj Kla Responsible for the typical Dub remix sounds is Professor Kinski aka Jan Mueller, a German music producer who has been working with MC Curly for 5 years on his own Khmer Hip Hop music.

The second Cambodia International Film Festival will take place from the 14th to the 18th of December, with a plethora of short, feature length and documentary films from Asia, Africa and Europe and North America, as well as a range of workshops and events.

The event, organized by the Bophana Audiovisual Resource Centre (www.bophaba.org) will this year include screenings at Legend Cinema and Cineplex, as well as the French Cultural Centre, the Bophana Centre and outdoor screenings on Diamond Island (Koh Pich).

Phnom Penh Crown sacks 9 players following AFC Hammer

Nine Players of Reigning Metfone C-League champions Phnom Penh Crown FC were last week clamped with lenghty Bans by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) following their role in a fracas during the AFC President’s Cup final on September 25.
Striker Chan Chaya, San Narith and Defender Sun Sovannrithy were handed six-month suspensions from all football competition for assaulting the referee during the ugly scenes in Kaosiung, Taiwan.
