Cambodia Basketball team at the SEA Games will today take on Thailand in their second group B game following a comprehensive lose to Defending Champions Philippines on Monday. The Philippines won the tie 127-68 leaving Cambodia to seek for an outright win over neighbors Thailand who defeated Vietnam in the first game on Monday 85-54.

" we knew Philippines will be a problem, We have always struggled against them so we now have to win our next two games to give us a chance of going into the next round" Coach Austin Koledoye said.

The trio of Pek Mith, Sop Oeun and Boroth Thach will have to be at their best to contend the Thais who have about 6 players who are above 6feet tall. A lose will effectively end the road for Cambodia in basketball just as their Counterpart in indoor Volleyball have suffered two straight defeats in Palembang.

The Volleyball team lost their first game against Myanmar on Sunday and yesterday lost 3-0 to Indonesia.

Pentaque and Taekwondo which have always been a strong hold for the Cambodian team has this time around failed to leave up to expectation as the teams have recorded strings of loses.

In Athletics, Keing Samorn will look to better his performance in the 1500 where he finished 7th and lost out in the place for a medal as he takes to the track again today for the 800m race.

Vovinam promises to bring more medals for Cambodia after 6 medals were won in yesterday's Event.

The Duo of Nay Saravey and Tang Hav will continue their fine start to the SEA games as they return for the second round of the table tennis events today.

Patrick Tom will also look to better his position in the Golf event, after finishing 7th in the first round yesterday. Compatriot Seng Vanseiha is presently in a distant 29th place among 33 contenders.

In Boxing, Svay Ratha will take on Henrique Martines of Timor leste in the 64kg Boxing while, Hin Sayheng, will fight out with Elio Jeneveva also of Timor leste in the 69kg category.
